A Good Shepherd

Donald J. Trump has been reviled and greatly abused for making the statement that anyone entering into this country will have to do it legally.  He has stated that he will build a wall with a big, beautiful door, and anyone who wishes to become a citizen of this country will come thru that door, or they won’t come.  He is despised for making the statement that anyone entering the United States by any other method, are illegal immigrants and criminals.

I have thought on this and wondered why?  How could anyone despise and reject a man, whose only desire is to protect his country and his people?  I have struggled to find an answer, but, I could find none.  Then, in the wee hours of the morning,  the still, small voice of my heavenly father reminded me of the teachings from my youth, and this verse came to my mind:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” ~John 10:1 kjv

I began to study this, and I realized that this was not well received by the Jews to whom Jesus had been speaking, for they were confused, and there was division among them.

Mr. Trump stated that Hillary Clinton has been there for 35 years and what good has she done? Nothing.  He gave her the label of Lying Hillary!   Mr. Trump has made it very clear that our country has had no leadership, and he tells us that we have been done a great disservice by all talk, no action politicians, who are greedy and accept filthy money from special interest groups who are not our friends.

All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers:” ~John 10:8 kjv

Thru my own extensive research, I know a lot about the character of Hillary Clinton, and I, myself, am the first to agree with Mr. Trump in his statements regarding her.  She is, indeed, a liar, and she has never done any good, that I can find.  Both, she and her husband, former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, have been involved in scandalous activities, all the years of their adult lives.  Indeed, wherever they go, death, destruction, division and chaos reigns.

But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.” ~John 10:12,13

On the other hand, the charges leveled against Mr. Trump disturb me greatly, and my heart grows heavy when I hear him being disparaged. I know him, inasmuch, as I have researched him as extensively as I have Hillary Clinton and I have watched him live in the public eye for at least 30 of my 49 years.  Mr. Trump has a compassionate, Christian heart.  He is a man who has a great loyalty and love for his family, and friends.  He, also has a great desire to protect what is his, and that includes his country and the people of his country.

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. ” ~John 10:14 kjv

Mr. Trump is a man of action.  He is the polar opposite of all talk, no action, Hillary Clinton.  He has done many great works, and has performed many acts of kindness.  He has built skyscrapers that bear the Trump name, provided jobs for tens of thousands of people, and his name is known throughout the world.  And, still.. he is being hammered by people who refuse to believe that he is exactly what he appears to be. They examine every tweet, each sentence in every speech and they work diligently to tempt him to anger.

The Jews did this same thing to Jesus, when he was walking in Solomons porch at Jerusalem, they gathered around him, and demanded that he tell them who he really is.  How long will you make us doubt?  If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.” ~John 10:25 kjv

This only angered the Jews more, and they even took up stones to stone him, and Jesus asked them, why?  They told him that they were not stoning him because of his works, but for blasphemy, because he, a man, thought of himself as God.  But, Jesus escaped them and he went beyond Jordan, where many believed in him.

Mr. Trump has been accused of demagoguery, xenophobia, racism and bigotry, for almost a solid year.  He has been a friend and employer of minorities, blacks, hispanics, men and women, within his own country and across the Globe.  And, still.. some wonder who is this man?  Mr. Trump has done, exactly, as Jesus did, and has not been hindered by those that call him names and seek to harm him.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” ~John 8:29

Yesterday, Mr. Trump visited Mexico,  and met with President Enrique Peña Nieto, at the Presidential Palace in Mexico City, where they proceeded to hold a private conversation and then held a joint press conference.  Mr. Trump then boarded a jet back to the United States, where he gave a speech in Arizona, regarding illegal immigration.

As a Christian woman of great faith, and having had many prayers answered, I believe with my whole heart that Mr. Trump has been blessed by God with gifts of strength, wisdom and vision.  I believe that Mr. Trump recognizes that he has these gifts and with a grateful heart, a willing mind and body, I trust that he will use these gifts as instruments to restore our country to the greatness and prosperity that God, has promised to all those that believe in him.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” ~2 Chronicles 7:14 kjv

May God, forever, bless Mr. Trump and the United States of America!

  1. I totally agree with you. Donald Trump has frequently called himself,”just a messanger,” which I ,too, believe. I have also thought of the Scriptures & how he,like Jesus has endured ridicule for acting on his convictions. Hilary acts only for self, w/ no integrity yet still rates applause. Go Figure!

  2. I applaud you for using Scriptures (the Word of God) to explain your reasoning.
I have (1) question regarding the meeting in Mexico, though. Was the Security
    and Prosperity Partnership discussed?

  3. Thank you. I can not answer your question regarding the SPP, as I was not present during the private discussion between Mr. Trump and President Enrique Peña Nieto. However, I can offer an opinion. I do not believe that SPP would have been discussed, as Former President George Bush, Former President Vicente Fox, Current President Barack Obama all shared the goal of SPP and I don’t believe their particular goals are of concern to either Mr. Trump, or PresidentEnrique Peña Nieto, as these two men have individual goals of their own that would have taken priority, at least in an ‘initial’ meeting that lasted approximately one hour. I do believe the meeting was fruitful, inasmuch, that it allowed an opportunity for both men to state their most pressing concerns, whatever they may have been, and a conversation has begun.
